Safeguarding
At Waterside Primary Academy the happiness, safety and well-being of every child is our paramount concern. We listen to our pupils and take what they tell us seriously. Safeguarding pupils is the prime responsibility of every member of school staff.
To promote a safe environment for pupils, our selection and recruitment procedures include checks on the suitability of staff and volunteers, as recommended by Buckinghamshire County Council and in line with current legislation.
All school staff receive regular safeguarding training. We also have three members of staff who have received enhanced training and who lead on safeguarding in the school:
Mrs Jacqui Blackmore - Headteacher and Lead Designated Safeguarding Lead
Ms Amanda Essex - Family Liaison Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Please do not hesitate to contact one of us to discuss any concerns you may have.

Tips for staying safe online: Make sure you keep new online friends strictly online. If someone you don't know asks to be your online friend you must ensure an adult knows about it. Know how to use the CEOP Button and how to report it to the CEOP Centre if you are concerned about someone’s online behaviour towards you.
